Director / Co-fouder
Armando Hernandez, MBA
Armando Hernandez enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2002 before graduating from Naples High School in June 2003. Immediately following graduation, Armando departed for Marine Corps Basic Training at Parris Island, South Carolina. During his enlistment he served from 2003-2007 as an Engineer Equipment Operator, which included a deployment to Fallujah and Ramadi, Iraq with 2nd Combat Logistics Battalion in 2005. Armando achieved the rank of Sergeant and received multiple awards prior to his enlistment ending in 2007.
After being honorably discharged, Armando returned home to Southwest Florida to begin his pursuit of higher education. While enrolled at Florida Gulf Coast University where he was selected for a highly competitive internship with the Boston Red Sox for the spring of 2014. While conducting the internship with the Boston Red Sox, Armando was introduced to Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital program dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war for veterans, service members, and families. Armando accepted a position in 2014 to pilot Home Base’s services in the Florida region.
Since then, Home Base Florida has grown exponentially serving thousands of Veterans & Families throughout the state. Through partnerships with universities and healthcare systems, the program has grown to provide wellness, behavioral health, and brain injury services for veterans and their family members all over Florida. Armando currently serves as the Senior Director of Florida and leads a team of combat veterans overseeing the operation across the state. Additionally, Armando serves on the Home Base national network development team helping to lead national expansion efforts based on the model designed and executed in Florida.
With competencies in marketing communications and new business development in environments that demand creative and analytical thinking.
Armando currently lives in Fort Myers, Florida with his wife of 20 years, Jina Hernandez and their two children, Lilliana and Xavier.

Ivan Numpake, Industrial Engineer
Iván Numpake is an Industrial Engineer, Specialist in Strategic Management from
Universidad de La Sabana, and holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development and
Corporate Social Responsibility from the Spanish School of Industrial Organization (EOI). He has more than 20 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations,
international agencies, and multinational companies, strengthening management models, sustainability strategies, ethics, and human rights with a strong focus on social impact and operational efficiency. Since 2018, he has advised companies, nonprofit organizations, and international institutions on sustainable development matters.
Their multi-sectoral work has contributed to the design and implementation of strategies
that improve the living conditions of workers, communities, and vulnerable populations. His
professional trajectory is defined by building bridges between social mission, financial sustainability, and evidence-based decision-making.
Iván is a member of the GPN/ExpRes Roster of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), a global mechanism that brings together international experts to strengthen capacities in sustainable development and project evaluation.
Since 2019, he has served as a professor in Ethics and Social Responsibility at the Forum Graduate Institute of Universidad de La Sabana, and since 2021, as a professor in Strategic Productivity Management at the Graduate Institute of the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia. He is a frequent speaker at national and international forums on social impact, sustainability, human rights, and responsible management, and has served on the boards of nonprofit organizations focused on education, economic empowerment, and the well-being of older adults.
Iván currently lives in Colombia with his wife of 20 years and their four children.

Juan Sandino, Electronic Engineer
Juan Sebastián Sandino Ariza is a trainer and consultant in Artificial Intelligence and data analytics for the public and private sectors,
helping organizations address current and future challenges arising from technological advances. He has experience in digital
transformation, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and agile methodologies. Regarding his professional and academic background, he
is an Electronic Engineer graduated from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from McNeese State University in Lake Charles Louisiana. He has worked for more than 17 years in both the public and private sectors, leading projects and initiatives to strengthen the country in Innovation, Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Business Development, and Digital Content. He served as Director of Apps.co and Director of Digital Content at the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (Mintic), and has worked with organizations such as Procolombia, as well as as a consultant on projects with Cafam, Comfanorte, Mars Andino, Fundación Universitaria del Área Andina, CINTEL, Roca Salvatella, INRED, Findeter, Olimpia, and ICETEX, among others.
